Asphalt’s remarkable strength, durability and cost effectiveness makes it the material of choice for most paved parking lots and driveways.
Sealpave will help you come up with the proper pavement plan through site inspection, your needs and budget. This information will enable us to come up with an effective design for your parking lot or driveway in a manner that is most cost effective.
Whether you are looking for asphalt paving on your commercial premises or around your residential property, we use a very systematic approach to ensure that your asphalt will last as long as possible.
Asphalt paving requires a design that takes into account the area of the site, nature of the ground, soil type and drainage. We also take into account the purpose you will be using the asphalt for, your specific needs and also the budget. It is only after meticulous assessment of all these factors that we offer a quote to you.
Before any asphalt goes down, we spend time getting the base right. A lot of paving jobs that fail early failed because the ground underneath wasn’t prepared properly — not because of the asphalt itself. We grade and compact the sub-base to handle whatever’s going to be driving or parking on it, whether that’s a few cars in a driveway or delivery trucks coming through a commercial lot every day. We also make sure water has somewhere to go, since standing water is what causes cracking and potholes down the road.
We’ve been doing this work in Clark County for over 20 years now, so we’ve paved through plenty of wet winters and freeze-thaw cycles. That experience shapes how we mix and lay asphalt here versus how it might be done somewhere with a different climate.
Every job gets priced based on the actual site — the size of the area, what kind of ground we’re working with, how much prep it needs, and how thick the asphalt needs to be for the traffic it’ll see. We don’t like giving quotes over the phone without seeing the site first, because it’s easy to get it wrong that way. A driveway usually takes a day or two; bigger commercial lots take longer depending on how much prep work is involved. New asphalt needs a few days before you should drive on it regularly, and it keeps curing for about a month after that.
If your existing asphalt just has some cracking or a few potholes rather than needing a full repave, take a look at our crack repair or asphalt repair pages instead — might save you some money. And once new asphalt is down, we usually recommend seal coating every couple years to keep it looking good and lasting longer.
Give us a call and we’ll come take a look at your property — that’s really the only way to give you a number you can count on.
