Yacolt is about as far out as we go, and about as rural. The town sits at the edge of the Yacolt Burn State Forest, named for a wildfire back in 1902 that’s still part of how people talk about the area. Most of our work here is on bigger rural properties: long driveways, some of them switching from gravel to asphalt partway up, plus the occasional paved pad for farm equipment or a work truck.
Properties out here see a lot less daily traffic than anything in town, so the asphalt tends to hold up longer if it’s maintained. Seal coating every couple years does more good in Yacolt than almost anywhere else we work, mostly because the damage we see is from sun and moisture over time, not from heavy use.
It’s a longer drive for us, so we usually bundle Yacolt jobs with other work in the northern part of the county, alongside crack repair or paving we’re already doing nearby. We don’t turn the work away. Call us and we’ll find a time that works.
